Temperment
Generally, Yorkshire Terriers make a good companion dog, make wonderful family pets and are also very
loyal to their owners. They are highly intelligent and generally learn quickly. They tend to be highly
courageous, lively and proud. They can however, be protective of their owners and become suspicious of
strangers and quickly become feisty if they feel under threat. They make excellent watchdogs, but can be
quite noisy, so take this into consideration with the neighbours. They are generally very loving and
affectionate little dogs. They can blend well with other pets, and are generally good with children who are
gentle with them.
